This presentation recognizes the role that medical provider communication plays in a families’ experience of receiving a diagnosis of Down syndrome. It summarizes recent data on parent perspectives and preferences with receiving a diagnosis of Down syndrome. Surveys are sent to families receiving a Jack’s Basket. The presentation identifies strategies for effectively presenting unexpected news and providing resources to patients and their families. This session is offered at NO COST for members AND non-members. All are welcome. Registration is required.

Participants will learn evidence-based interventions tailored to the emotional complexities of fertility treatment. The training also highlights culturally humble care, measurement-based assessments, and digital supports to strengthen engagement and track progress.
