Event Description
We hope you will join us for our upcoming virtual learning opportunity presentation by Carissa Carroll, M.Ed; Claire Knoploh, LICSW; Lauren Talhelm, C-TAGME from organization Jack's Basket. This presentation recognizes the role that medical provider communication plays in a families’ experience of receiving a diagnosis of Down syndrome. It summarizes recent data on parent perspectives and preferences with receiving a diagnosis of Down syndrome. Surveys are sent to families receiving a Jack’s Basket. The presentation identifies strategies for effectively presenting unexpected news and providing resources to patients and their families. This session is offered at NO COST for members AND non-members. All are welcome. Registration is required.
